Star Party 2010
Come join us for a night under the stars at the City of El Segundo Star Party. The Star Party will be on Saturday, March 20 from 7:30 - 10:30 pm at the Hilltop Park Parking Lot. Volunteers will be setting up their telescopes, or helping set up yours, to share a view of the stars with all who attend. The nomination deadline for the 2010 El Segundo Senior of the Year Award has been extended to March 22nd. Any El Segundo resident age 62 or older that has demonstrated strong volunteer and community service is eligible. The award will be presented on May 15th at the Elderfest Celebration at the Joslyn Center. Nomination forms are available at the El Segundo Recreation and Parks Department Joslyn Center located at 339 Sheldon Street. All nomination must be received at the Joslyn Center by March 8, 2010. The selection committee is composed of representatives from various service groups within the city.
